About Us

Concepción Bueno y Ziríon

Concepción Bueno y Zirión was born in Mexico City in December 1941. She was an intelligent, elegant woman with a great sense of humor, always interested in studying and learning more.

A teacher by profession, Concepción studied History at UNAM and continued throughout her life to study and update her knowledge, whether it was learning to use computers, improving her understanding of English, French, and Italian, or learning the elements that form a choral group.

This commitment to education was not limited to herself; she always encouraged her children, grandchildren, and acquaintances to study more, to always improve, and to move forward.

We want to remember the incredible and generous woman who taught us to sing and laugh in happy times and who supported us in the most difficult moments; the person who pushed us to always be better academically, professionally, and most importantly, personally. The woman who was always willing to help those in need, even when, at times, it was she who needed help the most.

This is why at Fundación CBZ, we are committed to preserving Concepción's memory through our work of helping more Mexicans complete their university studies and encouraging them to be successful in their professional lives, personally, and in their commitment to the economic and social development of Mexico.
